Race and venue wise, it will pretty much be the same for next year. I don't have the dates yet (it will be revealed later, SDBA need to check with the authorities first). But these are the likely ones:-

a. National Schools
b. S'pore INTERNATIONAL Dragon Boat Festival (SIDBF)
    - in June, Nteam and Yteam will be participating to blood them before the World Champs in August

Wassuprai - Just like to clarification, for the SIDBF will be a invitational race from SDBA to the rest of the nationals and it will occur at the same period as local race (SDBF and PM cup)?

Bro Okie_doggie,
tentative plan is to invite the SEA Nations & China (if budget enough). The idea is to do this on every SEA Games year. Hopefully it will help keep the sport popular for SEA Games. So there will be a seperate International category.

For the local categories, there will be a reduction in numbers. The Competitions Committee has been tasked to look into it. So one or two of the historically less popular categories will make way. Alternatively is to limit number of participants or participating events. Ie. Only one team can take part in one event only ( no multiple events allowed, etc)

PM Cup is going to be a problem because the venue is not big enough (based on initial measurements). Have to double check again.

The problem with the correct progression and posting of results/lane draws is bedevilling. It is emberassing and frustrating as well. Not only to participating teams, but to the officials as well.
If we use FB & Twitter and the rite people to run them, would it improve?

Yeah, that's what Singapore needs really badly - MORE races per year.  Sorry for the sarcasm...
