What team are you on?
« on: June 23, 2010, 17:50 »
Why is it such a mystery or secret about which team people on this board are on?  There are always guesses, accusations, denials, etc.  Be proud of your crew and admit it, don't hide it, that's how I see it.  I'm with the American Dragons.  Good, bad, indifferent -  I don't care.  It's my crew on the internet just like in real life.

Anyone else going to say what team they're on, or just me?

Well, that's two of us that are proud of our teams.  Everybody else wants to remain anonymous so they can talk about what "they heard" and their "reliable sources" and such.  ::)

Actually, I'm an SPC member too (associate member, for OC).

I am not enthusiastic about all the mindless gossipping either.

I paddled for NJC and SAFSA long ago. Haven't picked up the paddle in 3 years but it's still in the blood.  ;D Are there weekend teams out there who just paddle for fun?

Cheers :)

All of the 10 International Teams in Singapore (American, British, German, Australian, Canadian, Filipino, Irish, Japanese, Hong Kong, Spanish) have lots of people there just to paddle and have fun.  All of these teams are open to all nationalities, and I know at least most of them have lots of Singaporean members.

Of course, teams from this league have at times placed in the top three in SDBF women's, men's, and mixed national championship events too (including winning the Mixed National Championship) and won the Inter-Club division.  So, a strong competitive side too.

Glad to see some others that can "come out" and be proud of their team.  Waiting to see if any students can manage such an apparently bold feat?

Crimson,

You are welcome back to SAFSA ;)
We train mainly on only weekends. So technically, we are fun weekend warriors :)
