Before you start to paddle, u must have a boat, a paddle and a lifevest. So, where do you normally purchase these equipments? Is there any good recommendations (lobang) for paddlers to purchase their own boats or paddles?

Currently, the most common brand I heard of (for paddles) is Brasca. What are some of the "powerful" paddles that is highly recommended or different paddles suit different people?

As for the boat, there are brands like Nelo, Regatta, Pola, advantage kayak, plastex, etc. Which is better?

come to think of it, is getting a better boat a requirement to go fast? more n more schs r investing in nelos but does it really make a big difference locally? i do remember a tiger beating 3 other nelos b4 in the last national sch.

the most i have zhng my boat is to paste all sorts of ugly looking cloth tape on my boat..hah. in the end the cloth tape leaves an ugly stain on the boat.  :cry: but still...i managed to sell it!
