Haha. you must be referring to NJC. That school has along been a power house in canoeing and dragonboat. No wonder, the financial backing is so strong. They have a HUGE fleet of boats. Maybe not the navy. They are a Marine Unit and they do behave like one too. Disciplined and gungho.

They are doing bursting sets today. A number of people doing bursting sets together. They can just let me capsize easily anytime! ):

how many boats do they have? any NJC canoeist here? I think they are the only JC team that is so dedicated to the sport. Not putting down other teams at all mind you, just that they seemed to have a special something i dont feel in other things. well perhaps my own opininon. discipline is the thing maybe.
It is all just in the mind.

I think they have 20 -30 boats. Maybe more. scary. even monitor lizards don't dare to swim around when they are in the water. later kena hit n run. but i heard tt njc has a super devilish coach/teacher in charge. almost everytime training will have ppl injured.

But surprisingly, there are still a big number of people that come for training. Unlike my school, hahaha.

perhaps it gives them a strong sense of belonging? or perhaps they have a more successful recruitment drive every year for the new comers?
It is all just in the mind.

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.

being coerce is really a chore, i feel that those pple wanna be disciplined.... which makes them such a successful lot... we've got lots to learn from them, as a motivated individual and a successful team.   :D
Today is a good day..... to paddle... :)
