Congratulations to our Singapore Dragon Boat Association Team at the 1st Putrajaya Internation Dragon Boat Festival 2009.

They managed to clocked an impressive fastest qualifying timing of 1:54s.

After which, they went on to clinch the International 20-Crew 500m Gold medal and the International 10-Crew 500m Gold medal.

It was a stunning performance by the Singapore National Team. Other regional power houses like Indonesia, China and Malaysia state team (Putrajaya) were in strong contender with Singapore for the Championship title.

Concluding this 1st Putrajaya International Dragon Boat Race, the Singapore National Team wrapped off the last day of competition with another medal in the International 20-Crew 2000m event.
The Singapore team lost to Indonesia with a marginal 0.9second, to settle with a Silver.

It was indeed a great showdown by the Singapore Team, and being at the race site as a spectator, I was really proud of our Singapore National Team. Good job guys!
