NTU and NUS will definitely provide us with some entertainment. They should be starting to use every race as their preparation to gain momentum for SDBF and PM cup.

Most polytechnic teams have having exams at the moments. RP is the only school without exams and already enjoying holidays. The poly teams never fail to spice things up. :D

SAFSA? seen them with strengthen the team with some new ex-poly paddlers. will be interesting.

the big boys of the tertiary will never fail to appear and cook up a storm in races.

and if what you say is right, then RP should have an advantage among the poly boys, and girls for that matter.

SAFSA seems to be growing.
i saw mr Chicken Head from RP training with them.
i'll never forget that guy.
and i'm not gay.
LOL!

Look out for NTU paddlers this coming MR500.

They will be having Home-advantage since the change of their training venue as of late 2008. We will see if this advantage will allow them to have an edge above the rest.

Also, we will be able to see how the soldier boys perform this MR500. Coming out strong from the unfair defeat of SRR08, they have yet clinched Silver in the Mens' Open in Penang Race back in December 2008. Growing in numbers, and having a pool of talented rowers, I am sure they will put up a good show this time round.

it is also interesting to note that, the poly teams are 'weaken' by the departure of some or most of their senior paddlers , allowing their juniors to take over. it will be interesting to see how they fare.

Hmm heard from a friend, SMU is not taking part in this year's MR 500?  Weren't they the team that clocked the fastest timing in SRR? anyone can help confirm the news about their participation?

perhaps its due to them being the organisers for the race??? Hrd that last year they got complaints about being placed in the easier heats for the tertiary races thats why???

Yea... they are not taking part due to the fact that they are co-organiser.. part of being professional too i think...
