What economy? Is SDBA as a sports association affected by such things? Cost still remains the same, pay still remains the same, teams still pay to participate. Seriously, what economy?

You have to consider where does SDBA get the fund from to run such programs? I doubt there will be sufficient for SDBA to run the all the programs if funding is from govt alone. From what I see, they got sponsorship from companies and there will be a drop this year. SDBA will have to reconsider which are the more important programs and channel the fund to those programs.

yeah.i think i have to agree with john.I dont tink sdba relies on only the rental of dragonboats and organising races only?I dont think it will be enough to rely on it only..Check out the number of sponsers every race and you will know why???

B: around 50 plus k

The conversants tried to list the costs involved including paying volunteers, referees, motor boat and fuel, transporting boats to Bedok, etc... etc... etc... and then

A: Mr Lim also need his pay what.
B: How much his pay?

SDBA increased annual membership fees for all affiliates by 50%. It is getting more expensive to play the sports... while getting back less.....
