yah, had a bad experience with them.
Order and the stocks came totally diff. even so, still the same price.
nahz, not a KTH sales representative. but just stating the facts.

KTH boat not as light as champion's boat. just that, it's very diff for customers to accept faulty goods and yet nothing was done with prompt.

and i admit i'm biased towards china boats. yah.

Comparing Champion Boats to Seagull Boats is like comparing Kia cars to Skodas.  Who makes the better car...who cares?  You're arguing about which is slightly less crappy.

BuK - German made, best in the world.  More expensive?  Yes.  But you get what you pay for, and it will last 10 years if well taken care of.  Accept no substitute.

I am not involved in selling them at all, but I have the pleasure of paddling in a BuK every week.  Cheap isn't good, and good isn't cheap.
We're not here to move the paddle, we're here to move the boat.

I guess the difference really comes not when you buy them and receive it but more when you train in these boats. Each boat i feel is different when you row in them because of the range of weight that the manufacturer allows within the IDBF specs. A BUK would be great to row in, yet training for actual races would be better with a boat that was close to the specifications of the races. In Singapore's case, unfortunately, its the KTH boats. Champion boats are really generally better yet in Singapore, cheaper is always better. In fact, I think KTH boats now are already very good as compared to those I rowed in 4 years ago; no standard weight and specifications. At least now, the deviation from the mean weight of the boats in general are very minimal. Glad to be rowing in these KTH boats though I would love to row in a BUK to try it out. My 2 cents worth! :D
