NTU

In fact, a true good team will come from the tertiary teams instead of N-Team rowers.

I agree with Rocket. Because a tertiary will have a better team-bonding as compared to the National Squad rowers.

In a tertiary team, the team dynamics and team bond can never be compared to other clubs or even the national team because they have the luxury to spend more time together in school. As for the national team, I doubt they have this luxury as the team consists of not just students, but working adults and NSFs.

In my opinion, I feel that the existence of Mountbatten CSC team in the dragon boat racing context in Singapore is quite unfair as they have a bunchful of national squad rowers in the team. I must admit I get quite upset when I lose to them but there's nothing I can do but to suck thumb and train harder. But then again, I guess they have contributed quite a huge load to the racing standards in Singapore. I am just speaking for myself, cos I believe in strong competition and I like to have someone in front of me to chase after. In this way, that's how we improve isn't it?

I believe teams like NTU, RP, SP and even SAFRA can be of match in time to come with great leadership and great guidance from their coaches. No offence to other teams but being able to shave off that few seconds from your current 500m record shouldn't be much of a problem, it's just a matter of time and with a little more water works.

This is the end of another dragon boat racing season and this year is coming to an end too. I wish all rowers in this community a blessed christmas and a great year ahead in the coming 2009.
Cheers.

If i ain't wrong, they practically slaughtered all the singapore teams during Sava..
the B team for for day 2 lost due to the coxing, they were 3rd to the middle where the coxing screwed up.....the A boat got 2nd with a dragon whiskers lost to the Camarines...
