Summary of 28th Singapore River Regatta
« on: November 24, 2008, 23:18 »
Well done RP.
HP did it 3 Gold in a row
OCBC mixed team did it again.
Amercian did what they are famous for.
The All-Star Safsa didnt preform as expected

SDBA had improve one more step. Better slipway, new ID card.  The only mistake so far was the total cock-up of all the semi-final Event for 2nd day.  What SDBA posted on SDBA website on Sat night was total different from Sunday.

Also for ID card, many team have some members missing the ID card.

More DQ this year,  Good, no more kid-play.

Pls dont write off NTU, for last Sunday, they got something else most important to attend to.

indeed an exciting regatta this year... will be looking to MR500 .. another few months to it... And we will see how RP fare again...

Hopefully NTU will be back and lets see if NUS can bounce back and if SMU can build on the improvement now.. it should be a close fight for all for 4 unis in Pm Cup 2009...

I would say this is really great.. last year at this time.. we are still talking about NTU, RP and NUS... while for the ladies all eyes are on NUS alone...

But now... we see the rise of many teams and we see that the fight is among RP, NTU, NUS, SP, TP and SMU.... and the girls ... who would expect the SMU girls to come in so close to them that probably if given 10 more meter... SMU girls might clinch the sliver medal... Good stuffs i must say.. kudos to all teams

SMU would have more to maintain their standards here if not improve more to show that the medal gotten from the girls tertiary is not by luck.

And don't overrate them, to me, they are still a normal team in River Regatta, a normal team giving standard performance coming out from a tertiary team. If they can win something then i will be watching them.

i dun think its fair to say SAFSA didnt perform as expected. they werent even given a chance to. getting crashed into at the heats. how you expect a team to perform when there's a collision?

The era of Nasiman's NJC/NUS is come to past, now is time for Steve to shine.

I think u are making a haste decision in writing out Mr. Nasiman.
