Inter-corp??
« on: November 05, 2008, 12:05 »
Does Komodo, FLUS, Singapore Shell Club & CCWA ( Caregiver Counselling welfare Association ) sound Inter-corp to  you?
Maybe they dont have full time staff taking part or they decided to move up a level, they are taking part in INTER - BUSINESS HOUSES AND CLUBS (OPEN).

What is MG & G Marketing Pte Ltd - NAGA & NewUrbanMale.com Pte Ltd still taking part in inter-corp??  I seriously doubt there are 10% of staff among the rower.

SDBA had finally decided to look into this,
To All Team Managers of Corporate Teams participating in the 26th SRR 2008:
We would appreciate it if you could attend a meeting to discuss the eligibility of paddlers in a Corporate teams and any other Corporate issues pertaining to dragon boat races in Singapore on:

Date: 11th November 2008, Tuesday
Time: 7.00 pm

We had witness SAVA DQ a so-call inter-corp team, SDBA doing the same ?

FLUS was never in the inter-corp category.  We've always been competing in the inter-business houses/clubs category.

The bro & Sis from NUM & NAGA should learn from FLUS.

I think the real problem lies with the classification of the event. Not the dragon boat teams themselves.

That just makes the competition tougher eh? But what's competition without a hard fight too? There is 101% gratification from beating tougher opponents!

C'mon guys, take it positively. You cannot simply point fingers at the dragon boat teams without understanding that the real issue lies with the organizers, who are too lazy, to get anything planned or done properly. I agree that some dragon boat teams are "cheating" by importing outsiders, but it's up to the organizers to get into the bottom of things and dig 'em out.

There is another thread on NUM already. I think we can stop bashing 'em in another thread already.

cheerio!

i didn't go but i heard from my team manager that the whole meeting was a total waste of time. basically the meeting was arrowed at NUM and MG & G Marketing. it's like getting other teams there to pressure them to withdraw from the competition - whether they do or not, i am not sure...

for this upcoming race, only "selected" teams will have to submit individual rowers CPF statements to prove they are 100% employed by the company. but i think this is still not very fair. if SDBA wants to be fair, they should check EVERY single team. I even heard that HP has got ex-employees rowing for them. Not just HP, some of the banks like OCBC, HSBC and even Mediacorp have got friends not working for the bank to row for them. will they be check? we don't know.. so the whole meeting was a waste of time. if they want to get rid of NUM or MG & G, just say so ... why waste everyone's time and talk about fairness but in the end only "selected" teams will be checked. NUM and MG & G are always pointed out as teams with imported rowers.. why did they not mention those "selected" teams? Is this fair? hahah... nothing is fair in this world so guys and gals from these 2 teams.. just got to suck it up and accept it. :P

ohh in future, seems like every team will have to submit CPF statement as proof. but this will only be confirmed next year i think.

Banks r getting the cut already and they still show up on the newspaper. Either it's really part of Deutsche Bank's promotional strategy, or it's part of the individual rowers' strategy to tell Deustche mgmt that they still got use as marketting so shouldn't cut them....
