heard news that FHI is not sending in any team this time. maybe PLK thinks she is ready to step up. not so sure about the other teams that have been arrowed in this thread.

much as we are harping on FHI, NUM and MG&G, i think clamping down should be consistent and not merely on these teams.

even apparently legitimate teams like HP, RBS should also undergo these checks, so that SDBA can build up a reputation of being fair and answerable to all teams.

eagerly awaiting the team managers' meeting to check out the team lineups.

HP & RBS  also using Imported talent?

i have never implied that. my point was that if we're checking on inter-corporate teams, we should check on everyone and not just FHI, NUM and MG&G.

because it is only fair if SDBA applies such rules consistently across the board and not to so-called "arrowed" teams only.

The ID & photo requirement only prevents unregistered paddlers from racing. I hope hut! hut! hut! can also screen out the fake corporate teams & prevent them from racing in the inter-corp category. Pleeeeeeeeease, for the first time, SDBA do something about this.

SDBA cares??  Anyway, if PLK already will be racing for PLK, how come they must do such thing? send the same group of rower for inter-corp?

HP so far is the best,  they are inter-corp but they move up a level to take part in Inter-biz as well.

New Urban Confused Male,   shame shame ... boo you.

Sorry NATO but you sounds like either you are an alliance of HP or you are from HP itself.
HP no doubt is good but are they 100% HP stuff? I had heard some of them are ex-employees.
As for NUM, I guess at least there should be few working staff in the team. Not sure though.

How many teams does HP have? Be it 2 or 3, they need to folk out at least 30-40 rowers. We are talking about this amount of rowers with high committment to training. All from same company? I'm doubting it. Since there are ppl who think that HP is good, I guess maybe they should be the one moving up the next level, Open Category. Just like team SAP!

I'm looking forward to that too. Let's see if any corporate will bring up this issue since there is a big hoo-ha on this thread about this issue. Will FHI, NUM or MG&G send apologies of absence??

Dear SWAT,

HP does have >30-40 committed paddlers who train regularly, every week. I've seen them train in several boats. I respect their commitment. And all their paddlers are employees. Similarly for Exxon, OCBC, DSO, NHG, etc.

These are GENUINE corporate teams & their HR departments do not doctor the letter of employment which is attached with the race registration forms. No HR from reputable MNCs will resort to such underhand methods (except for those fake corporate teams).

Hi DBter,
I apologised if HP really does have this amount of paddlers and really should be appraised for having such high committment. Do admit that we seldom see so many staff from a single company so committed to a sport. Other than FHI & MG&G (which deem as arrowed team), HP, Exxon and RBS are the few strong contenders. IF HP is "clean", I will root for HP!

*FYI. HR from reputable MNC does not mean they don't resort to underhand methods. It's how words are twist and turn.
