Lets not jump the gun here. While it is accepted as a world recognised sports federation, it has still yet to receive IOC's endorsement as an Olympic sports federation. This of course does not and will not limit canoe federations to continue being involved in dragon boat racing. Having seen both sides, I must admit that comparatively SCF is better is management and administration of paddling sports. SDBA must really put in more effort to win over the community.

yeah, one thing is for sure, we will benefit if there isn't a monopoly on things... as in everything else in the free market. Where there is competition, there is improvement. In the end us paddlers win. Hope to see changes coming our way soon.

Let's see what we get out of this. I think it will be many years before anything comes to a head. There must be a reason why GAISF wants TWO fraternity to represent a single sport. Probably IDBF's "hard-selling" manner is not winning too many votes. It is not a wide margin of differences in votes anyway.

Well regardless of what the decision making is at this point in time, don't it make ridiculous sense to have 2 International sports body to have jurisdiction over 1 sport? It is like having a Karate Association conducting Taekwondo competition!!!!!!!
