1-Star Kayaking Programme

Anyone interested in taking up the 1-star course coming April 7th and 8th? Im trying to organise and gather people to go together.
It is all just in the mind.

How much does it cost nautilus? How long is the course going to be?

I gathered it is going to be 65 bucks for a 2 day course. 6 hrs lesson per day. At MacRitchie Reservoir.

the last time i attended the course, the instructor to student ratio is 1 : 10.

hey. i wanna learn star 1 but cant make it on the 7th & 8 April. Most probably will take on 28th apr or early may when im back from overseas.

by the way, i thought the course is conducted at kallang?

Not definite. Anywhere that has a water body approved for kayaking can be used for 1 star. I did mine in Macritchie. Beats the salty taste of sea water :P

yup i know.
cos when i check PA SSC website, the star 1 course on 7&8 Apr is conducted at kallang.

but the one which Nautilus mentioned is at MacRitchie Reservoir. cheaper also. heh.

Sorry people. I was informed the date is changed to 8th April and 15th April, both Sundays. Instead of 7th and 8th April. The reason is that there are not enough boats available on the 7th and also, it coincide with Qing Ming, and many currently signed up people are unavailable as they have to go pay respect to their relatives who has passed on.

Hi Duky, welcome to HYDROtribe! The course is conducted by a company called Front Catch! at MacRitchie Reservoir. As with all 1-Star Award, you just need to be able to swim for 50 metres with life jacket on.
