It depends mainly on the length of kayak. My K-light is 3.9 meters. When I first got it, it took me the whole day and left me frustrated. But once the skin is streched after 1st use, and with practice I can do it in less than 15 mins now. Dis-assembly takes less time, abt 10 mins.
The Feathercraft Khat for example (5.4m) will take around 30 mins. And a long double like Aerius II or Feathercraft K2 takes ard 45 mins.
No part of a folding kayak assembly is forced, everything is slide, click, turn, or pop.
